Rotary Marco Sunrise Joins 2026 Great American Cleanup Effort

The Rotary Club of Marco Island Sunrise is proud to announce its participation in the 2026 Great American Cleanup, the nation’s largest community improvement program organized annually by Keep America Beautiful and locally presented by Keep Collier Beautiful.

Members of the Rotary Club of Marco Island Sunrise will join volunteers across the country to help beautify and protect the environment by removing litter, improving public spaces, and promoting environmental stewardship from the beaches at the base of the Jolley Bridge.

During the cleanup effort, Rotarians and local volunteers will work together to collect trash and debris from the beaches and fishing areas at the base of the Jolley Bridge on Marco Island, and in so doing, helping to preserve the natural beauty that makes Marco Island such a special place to live and visit.

“Community service is at the heart of Rotary,” said Neil Snyder, who is President of the Rotary Club of Marco Island Sunrise. “Participating in the Great American Cleanup gives our members the opportunity to work side by side with neighbors and other volunteers to protect our environment and demonstrate Rotary’s commitment to ‘Service Above Self.’”

The Great American Cleanup brings together millions of volunteers nationwide each year who work to remove litter, plant trees, restore parks, and improve public spaces. Local participation helps ensure that Marco Island remains a clean, vibrant, and welcoming community.

The Rotary Club of Marco Island Sunrise encourages residents, families, and community groups to join them on March 28, 2026, and help make a positive impact.
