Offshore Slam Awards

The Marco Sportfishing Club presented awards for their signature annual offshore fishing event, the Offshore Slam, which is proudly sponsored by Rose Marina. The tournament is a year-long event requiring anglers to catch a “Slam” of four different offshore species, including a Grouper and a Snapper. The 2024 Champion Angler award went to Jim Scarpa and the Top Captain award went to Mike Lopez. In addition to these awards, prizes were given to thesecond place angler Rick Babuka, and third place anglerMike Lopez, and forthe largest fish entered from each of the tournament species as follows: Grouper – Mike Lopez, Snapper – Don Richards, Permit and Cobia – Jim Scarpa, Amberjack and African Pompano – Rick Babuka, and Lesser AJ and Porgy – Jim Parent.
