Naples Pathways Coalition Receives Grant from Collier Community Foundation

Posted

Naples Pathways Coalition (NPC) is proud to announce it has received a $10,000 grant from the Collier Community Foundation to support operating expenses with a strategic focus on increasing brand awareness and amplifying community outreach efforts.

As NPC continues to advocate for safer, more walkable and bikeable communities, this grant will help expand its visibility, connect with more residents and local leaders, and share the powerful progress being made through its core initiatives—most notably, the Paradise Coast Trail and the Hands-Free Florida campaign to end distracted driving.

“We are honored to receive this generous support from the Collier Community Foundation,” said Michelle Avola-Brown, Executive Director of Naples Pathways Coalition. “This grant enables us to not only continue the work we’re doing, but also to shine a brighter light on why it matters—to reach more people, build stronger partnerships, and grow our movement for safer streets and healthier lifestyles.”

Founded in 2005, Naples Pathways Coalition has been instrumental in advancing infrastructure like protected bike lanes, multi-use trails, and school safety initiatives across Collier County. Their long-term vision includes the development of the Paradise Coast Trail, a planned 100-mile multi-use path that will connect Naples to Marco Island, Ave Maria, Immokalee, and beyond.

The organization’s commitment to advocacy, education, and community-driven change has earned broad support, and this grant further strengthens NPC’s ability to share that mission widely through enhanced communication, events, and outreach campaigns.
