Our Daily Bread Food Pantry (ODBFP) has been awarded a $250,000 grant from the Naples Children Foundation (NCF), founders of the Naples Winter Wine Festival to support ODBFP’s long-standing commitment to ensuring no child goes hungry through both its Family Pantry services and Healthy Kids (K-12) School & Summer programming. In 2025, children represented 39% of the individuals served overall by ODBFP, with an estimated 104,579 children age 0-17 receiving nutritious food through recurring visits annually.
As a Hunger Initiative Blueprint Partner, Our Daily Bread Food Pantry collaborates with fellow partners to implement groundbreaking programs that help to alleviate food insecurity for children and families in need. Other Blueprint Partners include Feeding Dreams, Harry Chapin Food Bank of SWFL, Meals of Hope and Midwest Food Bank.
“Food insecurity hits our kids the hardest and can have life changing effects. During this difficult time of economic uncertainty and rising prices hitting our workforce families the hardest, we are deeply grateful to NCF for their on-going investment in our mission. We are also honored to be a part of their Hunger Initiative and look forward to continuing collaborative efforts with our food assistance partners to ensure all children have the opportunity to reach their full potential” shares Evelyn Rossetti-Ryan, Ed.D, ODBFP Executive Director of ODBFP.
“In many East Naples schools, food insecurity is a daily reality for children and families facing significant barriers,” said Sarah Zaiser-Kelly, Senior Vice President of Grants & Community Impact at the Naples Children Foundation. “Through its Healthy Kids programs, Our Daily Bread Food Pantry brings critical food support directly to these children through schools and summer programs, reaching them where they are. This investment helps ensure hunger does not stand in the way of a child’s ability to thrive.”
