The Marco Island Yacht Club (MIYC) celebrated a night of tradition and elegance at the annual Commodore’s Ball, held at the newly renovated MIYC Clubhouse on February 15. The distinguished event marked the official Change of Watch ceremony and the swearing-in of the new Commodore, Tom Morrison, for the 2025 term.
The evening began with a joyful cocktail reception at the Burgee Bar, where members and guests gathered to toast the occasion. Cocktails were followed by the Change of Watch ceremony, welcoming Commodore Morrison as he took the helm for the upcoming year.
After the ceremonial proceedings, attendees enjoyed a gourmet dinner in the upstairs dining room, where exquisite cuisine and fine company provided everything necessary for a memorable evening. Following dinner, guests took to the dance floor, moving to the music of Naples’ renowned duo, Kelly & Shelly. Their dynamic performance kept the energy high and the celebration in full swing.
The MIYC Commodore’s Ball continues to be one of the premier events of the year, celebrating the club’s leadership and fostering the spirit of the boating community.
