Marco Senior Softball Players Holiday Gathering

The Marco Island Senior Softball Teams gathered for their December Social held at Cav’s Kitchen and Cocktails at 701 Bald Eagle Drive, formerly Joey D’s Restaurant. The restaurant’s new ownership is committed to carrying on the great reputation that Joey D’s brought to what quickly became known as the place to be if you wanted friendly service, great casual meals, and an impressive 50-seat bar to enjoy your favorite sporting events on 25 large screen TV’s. You may also take advantage of their attached dining room to enjoy dinner and drinks with family and friends.

The Marco’s Senior Soft Ball League has sixteen teams of players 55+ years old. They are about to start the 2025 season on Winterberry Field. The League is made up of two Divisions, one of which consists of slightly more skilled players, providing for a more competitive aspect of the game.

The atmosphere at the gathering embodied the goodwill and comradery of the league and demonstrated their eagerness to start the season in January. Those interested in participating in the league should contact either Bill Shurina at billshurina@comcast.net or Bill Kaschube at kaschubewilliam@hotmail.com.
