Marco Island Woman’s Club Gives Back to the Community

Posted

The Marco Island Woman’s Club (MIWC) proudly gives back to this community. This year, in addition to our scholarship program that awarded over $96,000 to local students, our fundraisers gave us the opportunity to give a total of $43,500 in donations to local charitable organizations and causes through our own Charitable Foundation. MIWC 2025-26 President Sue Purvis was very busy at the end of her term as she proudly presented checks to Meals of Hope Marco Island, the Marco Island Academy, NCH Urgent Care Marco Island, Marco Island Historical Society, YMCA of Collier County, Marco Island Center for the Arts, Collier County Public Library (Marco Island branch), MI Dementia Respite, Our Daily Bread Food Pantry, American Cancer Society (Marco Island), Little Pink Houses of Hope, Camp Able, The Shelter for Abused Women & Children, Avow, Marco Island Youth Baseball, American Legion Post 404, City of Marco Island Beach and Coastal Resources (Beach Cleanup), Marco Island Cemetery, Laces of Love Charitable Foundation, and Habitat for Humanity of Collier County. It was a very good year, and we are happy to make a positive impact on this wonderful place we call home!
