Marco Cruise Club Heads North to Naples Bay

Posted

Thirty-six Marco Cruise Club (MCC) Captains and crews got up early in the morning to board their vessels and head north for lunch at The Boat House Restaurant on Naples Bay.

It was a beautiful morning for cruising down the Marco River. When they entered the Gulf and headed north along the barrier Island of Keewaydin, they saw dolphins playing and swimming. Always a thrill.

Upon arriving at The Boathouse Restaurant docks they were greeted by Dan the dock master who proceeded to help everyone secure their boats along with general manager Hayden. Everyone appreciated the service provided by both. The banquet lunch menu offered a variety of choices that were enjoyed by all. The views of Naples Bay from inside the restaurant were great, the atmosphere was fun, and the service was excellent. Time flew by and it was time to head out. By the time MCC left, there were many boats queued up, both outgoing and incoming.

After leaving the docks, MCC boats entered Gordons Pass. It was fun to see all the different shapes and sizes of boats and a few spring breakers, too. Once in the Gulf the turquoise blue waters and sea breezes made the ride to Marco Island perfect. Upon entering the Marco River everyone got to see a very large turtle raise its head, surface, and safely go back under. It was a great day. A big thank you to all who participated in this event and made it so.
