The Calusa Garden Club of Marco Island will host a presentation “Plants You Should Know” on Monday, February 10, 2025 at 1:00 PM in Rose Hall at The Marco Island Public Library. The public are invited to attend.
Garden Club members, Sue Oldershaw and Donna Kay will discuss plants that are aggressive growers and those that are invasive. Oldershaw, an avid Marco Island gardener for 47 years and Kay, a Collier County Master Gardener, will include valuable information on how to identify these plants, how they spread, and what to know about their differences. They will also provide a list of the plants that survived the three recent saltwater events experienced by Marco residents. There will be a slide show and a question-and-answer period following their presentation.
