L.E.A.D. Fest Benefit Concert at Veterans’ Park

L.E.A.D. (Law Enforcement Against Drugs & Violence), a nationwide nonprofit that works with communities to help students understand the dangers of drugs and violence, is hosting a L.E.A.D. Fest Benefit Concert, featuring Grammy nominated and internationally acclaimed Liverpool Legends, on February 28 and March 1 at Marco Island Veterans’ Park from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. 

“We look forward to hosting a L.E.A.D. Fest Benefit Concert at Marco Island Veterans’ Park,” said Nick DeMauro, CEO of L.E.A.D. “The community in Marco Island and surrounding towns won’t want to miss this one-of-a-kind show performed by Liverpool Legends with hits from The Beatles such as ‘I Want To Hold Your Hand,’ ‘She Loves You’ and ‘Twist and Shout.’” 

“We’re thrilled to bring awareness to our proven-effective program while the attendees get to enjoy an astounding performance, advancing our efforts to teach children in Florida and across the country why steering clear of drugs and violence is crucial and strengthen the relationship between police officers and communities,” added Mr. DeMauro. 

L.E.A.D. is celebrating 10 years of success providing services “On The Street” and “In The Classroom” as it brings law enforcement and communities closer together. The “In The Classroom” program is taught by 6,000 trained instructors in 46 states, who are serving more than 500,000 students in 2,500 school systems. L.E.A.D. has a proven-effective, law enforcement-focused anti-drug, anti-violence curriculum for K–12 students in the U.S. The L.E.A.D. curriculum is taught over the course of a 10-week program to educate youth on how they can make smart decisions without the involvement of drugs or violence. 

For both shows, doors will open at 4:00 PM. There will be an opening act from the local band, Sunstone, and the main act will begin at 6:30 PM.
