Every year in December, the Kiwanis Club of Marco Island holds one of its premier service projects, Toys for Kids, where each student at Manatee Elementary School receives a toy and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus. Funds need to be raised during the year to sponsor this event. On Thursday, February 13th, the Kiwanis Club of Marco Island was at CJ's on the Bay to sell 50/50 raffle tickets to raise money for the Toys for Kids event. Thanks to the many generous patrons who purchased tickets to help in this endeavor.
At the Kiwanis Club, February 20th breakfast meeting at Ori's Bakery, new member Virgil Lindsey was welcomed to the club as well as distinguished guest Korky Fritsch, Kiwanis Florida District Lt. Governor. The mission at Kiwanis is to make the world a better place, one child and one community at a time. If you would like to join in this mission, please contact Secretary Cindy Crane, at lucindaed@aol.com.
