Islanders Come Out to Fight Hunger

Posted

The Marco Island Rotary Clubs, along with the Kiwanis Club, continue their drive towards raising the necessary funds for their annual November Meals of Hope event with the ever popular Happy Hour for Hope, recently held at Mango’s Dockside Bistro. Islanders came out in force to enjoy refreshments, appetizers, and listen to the music provided by local entertainer Lance Shearer. Al Diaz was winner of the $256 50/50 drawing. A longtime member of the Noontime Rotary Club of Marco Island, Diaz donated his winnings back to the cause to the delight of those in attendance.

Neal Snyder, President of the Sunrise Rotary Club, thanked those in attendance for their generosity and support for the annual event to fight hunger here in the area.
