Happy Hour for Hope a Lucky Charm at Paddy Murphy’s

Posted

Meals of Hope Marco Island (MOHMI) recently felt the luck of the Irish at Paddy Murphy’s Irish Pub for the final 2025 Happy Hour for Hope. Delicious appetizers generously provided by Paddy Murphy’s, happy hour drink prices, and the musical energy of the one and only Rosetta Stone added to the joy of this fundraiser.

Meals of Hope is a combined effort of Sunrise Rotary, Noontime Rotary, and the Kiwanis Club of Marco Island. Each of these organizations generously presented checks in the amount of $5000 to the cause. An additional donation of $500 was presented by the Marco Island Woman’s Club.

The 50-50 drawing was won by four-year-old Celina Condee who generously donated this pot of gold at the end of the rainbow right back to the cause! Funds raised at this well attended event will be used to purchase raw food materials for the upcoming Meals of Hope packaging event Saturday, November 8 at the Marco Island Charter Middle School.

This year, MOHMI needed to raise $60,000 to pack 200,000 meals. Food packages are distributed throughout Collier County by its accredited food bank partners free of charge to recipients in need. MOHMI is supported by donations and by Friends of Hope, a group of generous individuals and businesses who have made substantial financial contributions to the cause. The 2025 Friends of Hope are Erik Condee-Condee Electric and Cooling, Tom Mann-All Event Party Rental, Donna Dubey, Deb Henry, Barbara Kaumann, John McGonigle, Tom Menaker, William G. Morris, Dennis and Joan Pidherny, Susan Purvis, Jim and Allyson Richards, Arne and Jill Sandberg, Alan and Linda Sandlin, Pam Shniper, Gwyn Steiner, Robert and Catherine Thomas, and Bonita Schwan.

Meals of Hope is an organization that truly appreciates the generosity of this community. In addition to recognizing our Friends of Hope, certificates of gratitude were presented to Paddy Murphy’s, Rosetta Stone, and me! It is truly a pleasure to support this most noble cause.

There is still time to support this amazing organization! Please visit https://www.mohmi.org to donate, volunteer, and learn more! Hope to see you for the big event on November 8!
