For the Love of Cats, a non-profit rescue organization committed to saving the lives of cats and kittens in Collier County, is thrilled to announce it has received a gift of $150,000 from entrepreneur, philanthropist and civic leader Tom Golisano to expand our lifesaving programs for cats and kittens in need throughout Collier County, Florida. Mr. Golisano is the founder of Paychex, the nation’s largest human resource company for small to medium-sized businesses, and the Golisano Foundation, one of the nation’s largest foundations dedicated to supporting programs for people with intellectual disabilities.
“We are overwhelmed and truly grateful to Tom Golisano for this generous gift, which will help us assist more underserved families with their cats in need and increase our resources for our TNR (trap, neuter, return) program,” said Jan Rich, Founder of For the Love of Cats. “Our main goal is to help the public with TNR to measurably reduce the overwhelming number of kittens surrendered to the county each year.”
This gift will allow us to save so many more cats in need, like Hallow! Hallow lost his eye in a fight! His injured eye was horribly infected and literally bulging out of his head. The pain must have been excruciating! After being neutered and having surgery to remove his eye, Hallow recovered in our foster care. He was shy at first, but it did not take long for him to remember the love he was missing. Hallow is fully healed from his procedure and will soon find his furrever home!
