Conservative Cocktails

The Naples Reagan Club (NRC) is pleased to announce Conservative Cocktails on January 21st featuring a discussion of the Founders’ Design of the Electoral College and the seven deep benefits derived from that design. With ongoing pressure from liberals to abandon the electoral college in favor of the popular vote, understanding our Country’s Founders rationale and intent is critical in being able to participate intelligently in these discussions and to make a valid argument for continuation of the Electoral College. The event will be held at Tiburon Golf Club, 2620 Tiburon Drive, Naples, and feature a dinner buffet. 

Michael C. Maibach, Founder and Director of the Center for the Electoral College (CEC) is a seasoned professional and industry leader in global business diplomacy. He served as Vice President of Global Government Affairs for the Intel Corporation and President & CEO of the European-American Business Council and was involved in President Reagan’s Council on Industrial Competitiveness and President Bush’s National Advisory Committee on Semiconductors. Mr. Maibach served as a member of two US State Department advisory groups: the Advisory Committee on International Communications and Information Policy, and the Advisory Committee on International Economic Policy. Today he serves on several non-profit Boards engaged in civic education and engagement including ConSource, the James Wilson Institute, the Institute of World Politics, the Caesar Rodney Institute, and the Witherspoon Institute. The CEC is non-partisan, non-profit, and does not receive government funding of any kind. 

The Naples Reagan Club provides a unique opportunity for conservative voters, regardless of party affiliation or residence, to engage in rational, responsible, reasonable and, above all, respectful, discussion of the issues that are important to Collier County, to Florida, and to our Country.  

Conservative Cocktails is held on the third Tuesday of every month and features a casual, social opportunity followed by a speaker and buffet.
