Calusa Garden Club of Marco Island ended its 2024-2025 seasonal year with a luncheon in late April. Club meetings are held from October through April each year, and the end-of-season April meeting usually includes a festive luncheon. At this year’s final meeting, new officers for the club were installed and a new member, Maria Tela, was initiated and welcomed to the club. The luncheon was held at the home of Nancy Adams, and the officer installation was performed by Installation Chairman Opi DeFalco. DeFalco used the metaphor of a kaleidoscope and its many colors and patterns to deliver her remarks, matching each officer's responsibilities to a color in the kaleidoscope. She summarized the prospect of these new officers working together for the next two-year period as shifting their priorities and combining into new combinations and color patterns as they address the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead. Incoming club President Linda Colombo was not able to attend the meeting and was installed in absentia.
Calusa Garden Club of Marco Island’s next business meeting will be on October 13, 2025, at 11:00 AM, in Rose Hall at the Marco Island Branch Library.
