Friday the 13th was a lucky day for the members and friends of the American Association of University Women Marco Island (AAUW) at the Island Country Club when their 17th annual Time, Talent and Treasures Auction and Luncheon earned over $11,000 for scholarships and grants.
Fulfilling the mission of empowerment and equity for women and girls, the attendees shopped for "treasures" in the beautifully displayed silent auction. After Tropical Salad and fruit tart, the live auction, featuring Police Chief Tracy Frazanno as the auctioneer, bartered members' homemade meals to the enthusiastic crowd.
