When you enter Marco Island on the S.S. Jolley Bridge, the first thing you’ll see is the Marco Island Yacht Club to the right of the bridge. If you’ve ever wondered what goes on there, stop by the Open House on Saturday, February 27 from 1-4 PM and find out!
The event is open to the public, and everyone who loves boating and the water is invited to attend. Visitors will have the chance to tour the beautiful 7,000 square foot two-story “Old Florida” style Clubhouse, and its surrounding grounds, learn more about Club activities, boating, dining and membership, and enjoy complimentary light hors d’oeuvres, half price drinks and the festive sounds of live steel drum music.
“With spectacular views of the Marco River, Jolley Bridge and Marco Island Marina, the Marco Island Yacht Club is a beautiful place to have fun with friends, entertain business associates, or just sit and watch the sunset,” said Membership Chair Carol Comeaux. “We have a new Social Membership available as well as full Boating Memberships, and since we are now welcoming new members, the Open House is a great time to come and find out what our Club is all about.”
The Club also offers banquet and meeting facilities to host private parties, weddings, business meetings and other special events. In addition to its gorgeous dining rooms, the Club’s wrap-around veranda provides elegant outdoor space to enhance a distinctive event experience. Interested parties can call 239-394-0199 to learn more.
