It was cooler“sweater weather” at Christmastime this year, providing the perfect climate for Marco Island Yacht Club’s annual “Ugly Christmas Sweater” contest. Members came out in full regalia in the tackiest, most garish holiday garb they could find. In addition to prizes for the “ugliest” sweater—Men’s, Women’s and Couple’s categories—judges also cited the most “creative” sweaters and chose one as the “cutest.”
Members M.A. Harlacker and Patti Cohen organized the event, and members Alice Jobe, Paul Kelly and Lynette Cahill had the difficult challenge of judging the best of the worst.
