The Marco Island Woman’s Club is both a civic-minded organization and an active social network with a long, proud history of serving the community. It is well known for generous contributions, ranging from providing college scholarships for deserving Marco Island high school students to restoring the Marco Island Cemetery and maintaining the garden therein. The Club has found another way to give to the community

At the Club’s April luncheon meeting, Anne Marchetti, founder of the group that began in May of last year, presented Karlie Colwell, Child Life Specialist of Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida, with the most recent donation.

Earlier, Marco Island Woman’s Club members, Tanya LaButte and Caitlin Robinson donated 50 Bedside Healers for the children at Golisano.

Marco Island Woman’s Club’s next meeting is Wednesday, May 3 at the Marco Island Yacht Club. Social time begins at 11:30 AM, followed by lunch at noon.
