Wine lovers were treated to a fabulous evening last week at a Wine Tasting and Food Pairing Soiree.
Doug and Angelica Andrews, members of a Wine Tasting group hosted and coordinated the magnificent event which took place at CJ’s on the Bay and showcased AwardWinning Chef Laura Owens.
The first event of this nature for the restaurant, gathered around 60 guests who enjoyed a nice selection of wines from California, Chile, Argentina, Australia and Italy. White wines were paired with Baby Scallops in Grapefruit Butter, Mini Baked Brie with Spiced Appleand Yukon Gold Potato Puffs. Red Wines were paired with Seared Maigret of Duck with Peppered Cherries, Chimichurri Steak, Veal and Pork Meatballs in Shiraz “Gravy” and Roasted Veggie Kabobs. The event was sealed by an Italian sparkling wine paired with a Cheese Course and Chocolate and Raspberry Pots de Crème.
