Himsel, William L. “Bill” age 66, passed away on May 10, 2012. After living in New Jersey and Massachusetts, he called Marco Island, FL his home. He is survived by Joyce, his wife of 25 years. They had two children, Jeff (Susanne) and Rick, and two grandchildren, Sophia and Anya. Billwas born in Marshfield, WI and was raised inMadison, Wisconsin, and he graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1970, where he was a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity. He was a member of the United States Army Reserves for six years. After graduation, Bill worked for Proctor and Gamble, and he then worked for Johnson & Johnson/ Ethicon and Mitek corporations. As Vice President of International Marketing, his business and friendships extended to 52 countries. He retired in 2004. Bill enjoyed traveling the country, cheering on the Wisconsin Badgers and the Green Bay Packers. He also enjoyed boating, fishing, and woodworking, and spending time with his beloved pets Kramer and Gracie, and his dearly departed Abigail. During his retirement, Bill and his wife spent time traveling across the United States in their motor coach. He is a member of the Johnson & Johnson Florida Retirement Club, the Marco Island Men’s Club, the Oysterville Yacht Club, and the Marco Island Senior Softball League. He will be terribly missed by all who were fortunate enough to see his smile, share in his laughter, and experience his love for life. A memorial mass celebrating Bill’s life will be held at San Marco Catholic Church on Saturday, May 19 at 10:00 a.m. A private burial will follow in Verona, Wisconsin.
