If we were still living in a normal world, then during this last week we should have all been enjoying ourselves at the Minto U.S. Open Championships at East Naples Community Park.
Unfortunately, times being as they are, we are all required to adhere to our game plan and strategy of social distancing, staying at home and figuring out ways to entertain ourselves. So, if you’re tired of the daily reruns of the news and you’ve had your fill of watching “The Tiger King,” then it’s time to turn off the TV and watch some fantastic championship level pickleball competition on your computer.
As a lot of you may already know, The Pickleball Channel was scheduled to provide live coverage of matches being held on the Zing Zang Championship Court at this year’s U.S. Open.
Since this year’s tournament has been interrupted by the Coronavirus, my recommendation is to go to pickleballchannel.com and spend some enjoyable time reviewing and reliving past championship matches, as well as keeping your game sharp with some great instructional videos.
Above all, my final recommendation is to continue to remain vigilant and responsible, stay safe and sane, and I will see you all back out in the courts in a few weeks.
