Marco Island, November 21st, 2019: Marco Island Center for the Arts will be celebrating the season of joy-filled merriment and heartwarming memories, as the public is invited to attend a Victorian Holiday Tea on Friday, December 13, from 3:00—5:00 PM. The program carries on the legacy of the Holiday Tea created by former Art Center Board Member and presenter extraordinaire, Jackie Pierce. There is no charge to attend, but reservations are necessary, and seating is also very limited.
An Afternoon Tea is a tea-related ritual that was introduced in Britain in the early 1840s. The Art Center’s Victorian Holiday Tea will have a sampling of savories, scones, sweets and delicious tea. This new holiday tradition at the Art Center will take place in the Lauritzen Gallery surrounded by the Clay Guild show perfect for gift giving. The Center’s Gift Gallery also has artful items. Christmas character and charm will abound.
The Naples Carolers, a capella vocal quartet in elegant Victorian costume will bring the songs of the season to the gallery. Perhaps you might want to sing along!
“The Victorian Holiday Tea will be a wonderful opportunity for the public to visit Marco Island Center for the Arts and experience a cheerful afternoon,” said Executive Director Hyla Crane.
