The Tamiami Angel Fund II (T2), a family of member-managed funds organized to invest in early stage, high potential, accelerated growth companies, will present the inaugural VenturePitch SWFL on Wednesday, March 11.
The event is open to the public and begins at 5:30 p.m. at the Naples Silverspot Cinema, Theatre 12, located at 9118 Strada Place.
The ‘Shark Tank’- style event brings together four early stage entrepreneurs who will pitch their business ideas to a panel of judges and attendees. One company will be selected as the most investible.
“We’re excited to bring VenturePitch to Southwest Florida and offer a chance for local entrepreneurs to share their ideas with the community,” said Tim Cartwright, chairman of T2. “The event is modeled after VenturePitch Orlando, which has showcased for the past two years early stage technology ventures sharing their story to an assembled audience of VC’s, angel investors and service providers.”
The panel of investors includes entrepreneur and author Bud Stoddard, T2 board member; David Diamond, founder and co-owner of DeAngelis Diamond Construction and Venture X; Richard Molloy of Gulfshore Capital; and Shayne Faerber, founder of Mall Maps.
Faerber, whose Mall Maps app was chosen as one of Apple’s “Essential Apps for Black Friday,” will also serve as the keynote speaker. Featured guests include master of ceremonies Jeff Lytle, former editorial page editor of Naples Daily News and current host of “Naples Daily Newsmakers” on ABC-7.
Individual tickets are $50 and include light refreshments and hors d’oeuvres. Tickets can be purchased online at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/venturepitch-swfl-tickets-15322549157.
