VACCINATION CLINIC COMING TO VETERANS COMMUNITY PARK


Marco Island residents 65 and over as well as healthcare workers can sign up to access up to 200 vaccines allocated to Marco Island.  City Manager Michael McNees made the announcement towards the end of the City Council meeting last night, complimenting Fire Chief Chris Byrne for spearheading the effort to obtain the allocation of the vaccine.

Residents will be able access the city’s website today at 2pm to sign up for the Friday event to obtain an appointment by going to  www.cityofmarcoisland.com and click on the  home page link for  COVID Vaccine Information to access the Eventbrite Link to gain access starting at 2pm today to obtain an appointment.

The City, in coordination with DOH-Collier and Collier County EMS will host a vaccination clinic at Veteran’s Community Park this Friday beginning at 9:00am. DOH-Collier has committed to allocating some of their weekly vaccine allotment to a Marco Island site. This week there will be 200 vaccines administered at this site for those 65+ and healthcare workers.
The appointment system will be online through Eventbrite. We will post the link on our City website and on our City social media and begin taking reservations Wednesday at 2:00pm.
Once the appointments are filled, we will remove the link from our site.


The site is a drive-up, appointment only site, and those being vaccinated must bring ID and wear a mask.

    Wondering if New Jersey residents who are renting in Marco Island for 3 Months will be able to receive the vaccine here. IF so, what are the steps we should take to register – when, where and what credentials do we need. Thank you for your response.
