Update on South Beach Renourishment Project

Photos by Robert Eastman | These are from the north end of the fenced-off construction zone, about even with the north end of the Apollo. The mechanical shovel is taking newly deposited sand and dropping it in a barrier peninsula that approximately defines how far out the renourishment will go.

Shows the beach looking north from Cape Marco. The large pile on the left are shells that will be taken to the Tigertail parking lot. There is another pile of shells in the distance.
