Two Area Students Receive ‘Camperships’ to Camp Wekiva

Marco Island’s Calusa Garden Club awarded Denise Diaz from Avalon School and Kira Swanson from Tommie Barfield Elementary School camperships to Camp Wekiva. Camp Wekiva is located in Wekiva Springs State Park and is sponsored by the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs. It’s a week-long residential nature

camp for third through eighth graders. Additionally, Critter Camp, a mini-camp consisting of three days and two nights, is offered to first and second graders.
