Arbor Day is America’s National Tree Holiday, a day set aside to plant ceremonial trees, educate the public about the importance of trees and honor the role trees play in our everyday lives. To celebrate Arbor Day, the Beautification Advisory Committee of the City of Marco Island is inviting the public to a tree planting.
At 10:00 AM on January 15th, a Poinciana tree will be planted on the grounds of the Marco Island Charter Middle School at 1401 Trinidad Avenue. School administrators and city officials will be available and invite you to join them. The MICMS Jazz Band will play and free refreshments will be served.
