Bright and early on a recent Saturday morning, an enthusiastic group of 26 adult and youth volunteers met at Tigertail Beach on Marco Island for the quarterly beach clean-up sponsored by Friends of Tigertail.

Jim Zimmerman from “Keep Collier Beautiful” participated with other volunteers.

Usually the summer cleanup following July 4 is quite productive, and this was no exception. Fourteen full garbage bags were collected from the beach, mangroves,

and parking lot, beautifying the area for all to enjoy.

For those who would like to participate, the next clean-up is Saturday, September 16, 2017. This will be part of the International Coastal Clean-up, when
