The Rotary Club of Marco Island Noontime Welcomes New Member

Submitted Photo | Michelle Richards.

The newest member of the Rotary Club of Marco Island Noontime, Michelle Richards, is originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As she puts it, “Like most Philadelphia locals, I am a very proud Philly fan.”

Michelle has been a Marco Island resident for 7 years. In fact, her parents, brother, and many extended family members also live on Marco Island full time. “What started out as a travel destination many years ago became home to eighteen of my relatives. I am grateful to have so many family members in this community.”

Michelle studied Art and Psychology at Temple University. She has a passion for travel including studying abroad through Temple University in Rome, Italy, moving to the Big Island of Hawaii where she taught, traveling to Costa Rica to attend Yoga Teacher Training and then helping with the program there, and her eventual return to Philadelphia. She worked with children for over five summers at Arrowhead Day Camp in Westchester, PA.

Her family and her new Rotary family are so glad she finally landed in Marco Island. Michelle is Executive Assistant/Property Management for Capio Partners. In the Richards family tradition, she is an avid volunteer with Al’s Pals, a volunteer group here on Marco that has partnerships with the YMCA of South Collier, Our Daily Bread Food Pantry, For the Love of Cats, and The Alliance for Period Supplies of SWFL.

In her free time Michelle enjoys stand up paddleboarding, boating, planning travel, hiking, nature, waterfalls, exercise, meditation, yoga, health & wellness activities, beach/ocean clean up, concerts & sporting events.

You are a busy gal, Michelle, and we are so happy to have you and your heart for service and your many talents in our Rotary Family.
