The MICMS Eagles/MIA Rays Invitational

It was perfect weather for a cross country race and Mackle Park was in top shape for hosting this race. Approximately 500 runners were expected from schools in Collier and Lee County. place time for girls thanks to Rosie Poling who edged out Lisa Tomaino from Seacrest on the backside of the course around Mackle Lake. There was competition between teams, but between individual runners as well. This was proven when one young man was overheard congratulating an opponent on a well-run race. well-run race. Although Coach Roger Raymond could not be present due to a recent injury and subsequent surgery, he was there in spirit. Capable Coach Chris Boggs and MICMS teacher Karen Raymond assisted with the race along with numerous volunteers.
