Get ready! Marco Island is about to be ‘taken over’ by the biggest event of the year! Thousands will descend upon the center of the island, gathering in Veteran’s Community Park for a weekend of seafood, music and fun during the 2012 Seafood Festival. “We made a few changes this year which festival-goers wanted. First and foremost, we added the Landsharks to the entertainment line-up. Then we extended the hours, we are open an hour earlier at 11:00 AM, and stay open Saturday night until 9:00 PM and Sunday until 6:00 PM. This year, on Sunday night from 4:00-6:00 PM we will offer a two for one Happy Hour on beer and wine. We are anticipating over 10,000 people in attendance this year,” said Stan Niemczyk, chairman of the Seafood Festival committee.

The Landsharks played in concert with Jimmy Buffet and were the opening act for the Beach Boys concert tour. Many know them as the house band at Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville at Universal Studios or for their 100 + performances at Disney World. Anyway you look at it these guys can ‘work’ the crowd. It starts with a little wiggle here and a clap

there and before you know it, the audience is up on their feet! Not only do they get them moving, they KEEP them moving!
