The elegant Esplanade on Collier Boulevard, built in 2004, is one of the newest condos on Marco Island. The developer successfully created an Italian coastal village theme, complete with marina, waterfront promenade, and outdoor plaza with fountains and palm trees. Many of the Esplanade’s residents park their car on arrival and bike or walk to everything they need on the island. You can do your banking at BMO Harris Bank; dine at three fine restaurants – Mango’s Dockside Bistro for casual island fare, the ever-popular CJ’s featuring fresh, local seafood, and Chop 239 for steak and lobster. CJ’s outside gazebo bar is the go-to meeting place for island residents, with music on Thursday evenings. Popular treats can be found at Cold Stone Creamery.
