The Atrial Fibrillation Epidemic Discussed at the Next Health Plus Lecture

IBERIABANK, a 128-year-old subsidiary of IBERIABANK Corporation, and Physicians Regional Healthcare System will continue the Health Plus Lecture Series with the discussion of irregular and rapid heart rates on Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2015 at the Marco Island branch of IBERIABANK at 605 Bald Eagle Drive. A welcome reception will begin at 5:30 p.m. with the presentation starting at 6:00 p.m.

 

The lecture titled, Atrial Fibrillation: An Epidemic will discuss how irregular and rapid heart rates can lead to complications such as stroke or heart failure. Carlos Cuello, M.D., a board certified physician in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and Cardiac Electrophysiology, will provide facts about the origin and consequences of atrial fibrillation and the most effective treatments to correct the heart’s electrical system. Dr. Cuello is an independent member of the medical staff of Physicians Regional Healthcare System and specializes in implantation of pacemakers, ICDs and heart failure devices, treatment and management of atrial fibrillation and cardiovascular disease.
