Just in time for the 90th Anniversary of the Tamiami Trail, a collection of memories by the people who worked and lived on the road all those years ago is available again. The book was compiled by the late Maria Stone who conducted interviews and produced a “written oral history.”
However, Maria only printed 100 copies in 1998, all of which are now gone. The book has been re-issued by ECity-Publishing with some extra photos and captions. As with the imprint’s other local histories, it costs an affordable $10 and can be ordered online at www.ecity-publishing.com.
