The Foundation for the Developmentally Disabled’s (FDD) Hollywood Swing Through Time- themed Gala takes place March 4 from 6–11 PM at the Naples Beach Hotel and Golf Club.

The evening features an elegant cocktail hour, live and silent auctions, dinner and dancing. Guests can take part in the unique Diamond Drop, where they can win diamond earrings from Yamron Jewelers by purchasing a glass of champagne.

Maria & John Scalli are the event chairs. “We are totally honored to be involved with such a deserving organization,” said Maria Scalli. “We have created an event that is inspired by vintage Hollywood glamour, but our true inspiration is the special people of FDD. Our goal is to bring awareness of the unique worth of individuals with special needs and show the community they need our support.”

WINK news anchor Therese O’Shea will be the celebrity emcee and the auctioneer is Christopher Marchand. Presenting Sponsor is Robin Boies, Platinum Sponsor is Stofft Cooney Architects, Silver Sponsors are AmTrust Bank, Southwest Florida Estate Planning, and Woods, Weidenmiller, Michetti, Rudnick & Galbraith. Underwriters are Bonita Springs Lions Club, Community Resource Network of Florida, Inc., Merrill Lynch, Summit Wealth Partners, Collier Enterprises and Arnold & Barbara Karp.

For over 30 years the FDD has worked to enhance the quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities in Southwest Florida, serving over 200 members and families. Through educational, recreational and social opportunities, participants are active and engaged in the community. Every year the FDD continues to expand programs and services to meet the growing needs of the developmentally disabled. Funds raised at the gala will help continue the FDD’s outreach and provide the vocational, life skills, health education and personal enrichment opportunities to all the developmentally disabled, regardless of their financial means.
