The Marco Island Historical Museum is delighted to host “Isles of Capri…A Place in Time,” a collection of watercolors by artist Donald Sunshine. This collection of art celebrates the history and community of the Isles of Capri and will be on display from February 13 – April 26, 2016.
Sunshine is an award-winning architect, author andartist. He has collaborated with local historian Betsy Perdichizzi to narrate the charming story of the Isles of Capri and its development. The Isles of Capri’s lush beauty captures the feeling of an old Florida fishing village, while possessing all the conveniences of today’s world.
“My architecture, sketching, painting, sculpture and writing are interrelated and a life’s pursuit, as well as a way ofseeing, and a means of commentary,” shares artist Donald Sunshine.
Join us for the opening reception, hosted by the Marco Island Historical Society, on Tuesday, February 23 from 6-7 PM. The event is open to the public and is free of charge. Both artist Donald Sunshine and historian Betsy Perdichizzi will be in attendance.
