According to a statement from the Marco Island Police Department, in anticipation of Hurricane Irma, the City of Marco Island has declared a State of Emergency.
Collier County has not made a decision regarding mandatory evacuation or opening shelters at this time. We will keep you informed should this occur.
As Marco Island is a flood zone and a mandatory evacuation area during a tropical storm or similar event, there are no shelters on the island.
Collier County is receiving some pre-staged assets from the Florida National Guard and other entities.

What is a “pre-staged asset”?
Do you have any pictures of the beach area in and back if The Admiralty House 140 Seaview Court. I plan on coming down from Boston on 10/1 and hope I will be able to get there. I know you have many other priorities but thank you in advance and thank you for all you do!
