The Marco Island Area Association of Realtors, with the assistance of realtor Bill Filbin, delivered 70 trays of food to St. Matthew’s House Shelter last Thanksgiving. It was made possible through the generosity of islanders who prepared food and brought it to the Board of Realtors office. From there, Bill loaded up vans for delivery to St. Matthew’s House.
Bill is requesting your assistance this Thanksgiving again. “You can contact Kandy at the Board of Realtor’s office to pick up an aluminum tray with cover. We ask that the trays are brought to the office between 8:00 AM and 10:30 AM on Thanksgiving Day.” Noexcess liquid in the trays please, as they stack them for travel to St. Matthew’s.
The dishes requested by the Executive Chef at St. Matthew’s House Kristofer Jubinville are mashed potatoes, stuffing, green bean casserole, baked yams, vegetables, sweet potatoes (baked or mashed), and what would Thanksgiving be without PIES! Donating is a great way to get into the holiday spirit.
“I am hoping to have to bring more than 70 trays this year,” said Bill. “Never know who you will meet. One year governor Rick Scott helped me!”
For more information or aluminum trays call Kandy at 239-394-5616 or Bill at 239-370-8118. Alternatively, you can stop by the office at 140 Waterway Drive.
