Little princesses and their dapperly dressed dads recently transformed Marco’s YMCA of South Collier airnasium into a giant dance floor.

The occasion was the Y’s annual Daddy Daughter Dance, with an open-air venue change that gave everybody adequate distancing space in these cautious times.
Organizers, under the leadership of the Y’s long-serving and tireless Youth Development Director, Stephanie Pepper, were a little worried about the brisk wind that blew during the afternoon, but by sunset it had calmed to a mild breeze.
The dads and daughters danced to assorted songs with an assortment of beats, headed of course by the anthemic song made famous all those years ago by the Village People.
Our photos give an idea of the special evening that comes around once a year.
