Southport Boats, a leader in offshore center console and dual console boats with a reputation for a smooth, responsive, and dry ride, announced a new dealership relationship with Trapper Custom Marine of Naples and Marco Island, Florida. Trapper Custom Marine has been a longtime fixture in the Marco Island and Naples markets, and offer the perfect mix of service, sales, and outfitting that make for the ideal Southport dealer.
“We had been looking for a dealer in the Southwest Florida market for some time, recognizing that it was an ideal market for our growing brand,” said Jonathan Kirby, Marketing and Sales Director of Southport Boats. “We were very pleased to find Trapper Custom Marine and knew fairly quickly that they had the right mix of service, sales, outfitting, and their focus on 100% customer satisfaction falls right in line with our brand.”
Trapper Custom Marine has been in business since the late 1970s, started by Mark Travis, and was the first Yamaha outboard dealer on Marco Island. Today the business is run by brothers Neil and Jason Travis, who run the business according to the principles and values passed onto them by their late father and his enduring focus on TCM’s core value – making sure their customers are happy.
“We are very happy to be representing Southport. We knew the brand because of their reputation for quality. When we were given the opportunity to sign on, we jumped at the chance,” said Neil Travis, co-owner of Trapper Custom Marine. “My brother and I immediately recognized that the Southport product fits our customers extremely well, and Southport’s commitment to customer service is in-line with our goals. We are very excited to build this brand in Marco Island and Naples.”
Southport has never had a dealer in the Marco Island and Naples markets, and as a result Trapper has a terrific opportunity to introduce their customers to a new, high quality brand which will offer more and more product each year. The Southport model lineup offers something for everyone in this market.
