It’s that time again! Get ready to join the Marco Island Chamber of Commerce for the 7th Annual Souper Bowl. On Saturday, February 2nd, head down to Mackle Park from 11 AM to 1 PM where you can purchase a hand painted, one-of-a-kind ceramic bowl and fill it with delicious soup samples from local restaurants.
The proceeds from Souper Bowl benefit the Leadership Marco Scholarship Fund, which provides scholarships to local graduating high school seniors.
Souper Bowl Chairperson Laura Schneider started working with Souper Bowl after her son became a scholarship recipient in 2014. Laura says, “Personally I believe education is very important for our youth,” and that she, “loves seeing smiles on the kids faces after they’ve painted the bowls.”
Leading up to the event, Coastal Breeze News will be featuring the participating restaurants and their soups. Three restaurants are profiled in part one of the round up. Check our upcoming issues to read about the other Souper Bowl participating restaurants.
