Songwriters Share Original Music

The Florida Song Writers Showcase Winter Series Continues

J.Robert’s Florida Songwriter Showcase is finalizing its 2018 winter series at the Margood Harbor Theater.

The show is a music presentation featuring songwriters who have composed and recorded original Florida music.

Every first Monday evening of the month from 6 to 9 PM, songwriters will take the stage to share tales and original music ranging in style from Americana and old timey music to heritage blues and southern rock, as well as trop rock and Caribbean jazz.

The evening includes a performance of original songs, Q & A with the audience, as well as a Goodland-style songwriter jam. During the shows, musicians will share personal stories about Florida heritage and inspiration for their songwriting and musical talents.

The Florida Songwriters Showcase continues April 2nd with:

  •   Frank Thomas, Florida Cracker Cowman Hall of Famer
  •   Marie Nofsinger, Florida Outlaw Songstress
  •   Taylor Freydberg, Woodwork and WholeTones Mastermind!
  •   Nancy R. Koerner “Queen of Harmony” will be in attendance.

This event is produced and directed by J.Robert Houghtaling, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and film score composer, who has developed friendships with many talented songwriters over the years. “Songwriting isn’t just about making music…it’s a lifestyle!”

Margood Harbor Park Theater, with its pavilions and playgrounds wrapped around a charming harbor, is a perfect backdrop for this live music and local flavor event.
