When Marie Zoda, a Marco Island Chamber of Commerce volunteer came into McDonald’s for a ribbon cutting ceremony, she asked a gentleman seated near the door how he liked the restaurant’s remodel. “The real question is, how do YOU like it?” he asked her. Marie didn’t realize she was speaking with Mike Adams, an owner of the McDonald’s.
The McDonald’s at 899 N. Collier Boulevard held the ribbon cutting in conjunction with the Chamber of Commerce to celebrate a complete modernization inside and out. The fresh new look included a new patio area outside, double drive thru service and comfortable new seating. According to Manager Nathalie Herrera- Carmona, “The changes reflect the community. It serves as a meet-up spot for many people in the area; it will continue to be a great place to sit down and enjoy a cup of coffee, surf the Internet or hang out with friends or family. We are very pleased with the new look and feel.”
Melissa Delacroix, Marketing Manager for Adams and O’Reilly, Inc., owner of 22 area McDonald’s franchises includingthe Marco Island branch, made a special announcement concerning this restaurant. “Starting today, we will be open 24 hours.” That is big news for the residents of Marco Island. McDonald’s kicked off their special day by offering free Egg McMuffin breakfast sandwiches. The cars started lining up by 4:30 AM and were wrapped around the building to get into the parking lot.
Several ambassadors from the Marco Island Chamber of Commerce were on hand for the ribbon-cutting, as was BEAT 105.5 WBTT FM radio station. Ronald McDonald was a hit with young and old patrons alike. Ronald took part in the ribbon cutting, was found meeting and greeting even the youngest guests and worked the drive-thru window.
Stop by and check out the new look any time of day or night, seven days a week.
