SHRED IT!

Submitted

IBERIABANK will host their Marco Shred Party on November 14 from 9 AM-12 PM. Guests are encouraged to bring documents to be safely shredded at the bank, which is located at 605 Bald Eagle Drive on Marco Island.

Some Facts about identity theft:

  • Florida is #1 in the U.S. in identity theft for the 7th consecutive year.
  • Naples is #3 in identity theft nationally.
  • Every 2 seconds, someone’s identity is stolen.
  • South Florida leads nationally in medical identity theft.

What does this have to do with our Shred Party? The Shred Party will provide one of the safest and most secure methods of disposing of your old personal documents.

Steve Reynolds will provide great rock & roll music and there will also be free breakfast sandwiches and refreshments. Workers with lots of energy will move thousands of pounds of paper from your vehicle to our giant shred truck, generously provided by the Shred-it company.

But, the Shred Party is serious business. Guests are entrusting us with their most personal documents and the bank takes that responsibility very seriously. After all, we handle confidential documents daily. The Shred Party will be fun, energetic and beneficial to all who worked hard to identify the documents that need to be disposed of.

So, it is time, once again, for everyone to finish the job they likely started prior to the last Shred Party by digging out the remaining documents to be shredded. Please remember there is a $3 charge per box or trash bag of any size. In the first 17 parties we have disposed of 93 tons of individual and business documents, and it seems there is still more to be shredded.

The theme is “PATRIOTISM.” All proceeds from the IBERIABANK Shred Party will go to the Veteran’s Fountain in the beautiful Veteran’s Park. Several veterans will be on hand to help move boxes/bags of shred from your vehicle to the giant Shred-it company shred truck. So stop by to personally say, “Thanks” to our Marco Island veterans. We owe them BIG TIME!
