Collier County Association for the Blind (CCAB) will hold its first program meeting for the 2011 season on Monday, September 26th at 1 pm at the Naples Botanical Gardens. Art Bookbinder will present “Living with Visual Impairment” from 1 to 1:40 pm. Reservations must be made for the lecture as the classroom has limited seating.
The Botanical Gardens has graciously agreed to open its doors at no charge that day from 12:30 to 2:30 pm to those visitors who ask about our CCAB meeting at the entry and to groups of residents from Nursing Homes. They will have docent volunteer tour leaders there to give strolling tours of the gardens to those interested and especially the new Enabling Garden. Visitors are urged to bring umbrellas for shade, plenty of fluids and wear hats and sunglasses as well as sunscreen because many areas of the Garden offer little shade from the sun.
