Boy Scout Troop 234 welcomed seven new scouts to its ranks on May 20, 2017 at a special Crossover Ceremony at the Marco Island Historical Museum. The Scouts earned the highest honor in Cub Scouts, the Arrow of Light, by completing a list of achievements, requirements and community service projects. Cub Master Randall Olsen presented each of the scouts with an authentic Native American arrow, painted in different colors to represent their achievements. The parents awarded their sons with their Arrow of Light plaques. The scouts then crossed the bridge, joining the ranks of Troop 234. Also present, Pastor Kirk Dreiser and Tom Pollack from Wesley United Methodist Church, the charter organization for the scouts.
