This week, the Collier County Supervisor of Elections Office began mailing sample ballots to every registered voter who has not yet requested a mail/absentee ballot for the upcoming January 31, 2012 Presidential Preference Primary (PPP) Election. The sample ballot indicates which contests voters are eligible to vote. Eligibility depends on where a voter lives in the county and/or the voter’s registered political party. Voters are encouraged to complete the sample ballot and use it as a guide when voting in person during Early Voting or on Election Day. Collier County voters may exercise their right to vote in one of three ways: mail/absentee ballot, during Early Voting or on Election Day at the precinct indicated on their voter information card. If voting in person, voters are reminded to bring a current photo and signature identification to the polls.
