US 41 at Mooring Line Drive: Maintenance permit project: Crews will be working on sidewalks and landscaping on the west side of the roadway. Drivers should use caution while crews work near the road.
US 41 from Wiggins Pass Road to Immokalee Road:Maintenance permit project: Motorists should expect the two outside southbound lanes closed during nighttime/overnight hours from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday for crews to work on utilities. Drivers should expect slow moving traffic during this time.
US 41 (Tamiami Trail East) from SR 951 to Greenway Road: Construction project: Crews continue work to expand two-lane US 41 to six lanes from SR 951 to Joseph Lane and to four lanes from Joseph Lane to Greenway Road. A 30-foot median will separate northbound and southbound travel lanes. The project also includes a 10-foot multi-use pathway along southbound travel lanes and a six-foot sidewalk parallel to northbound lanes. Median openings spaced throughout the project allow for left turns and U-turns. Crews also are replacing the traffic signal at Manatee Road.
- Motorists should expect lane closures from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday for crews to widen the lanes.
Vehicles use the new roadway from east of CR 951 to Naples Reserve Boulevard. The bus stops are shifted to allow the contractor to build the new roadway. Motorists exiting driveways and side streets in this area should use caution, as traffic is now closer to the south side of the corridor.
Crews are currently relocating utilities, constructing culverts, installing underground storm drainage, and completing earthwork. Drivers should be aware of construction vehicles and equipment entering and exiting the roadway. The contractor expects to complete work in fall 2016. The design/build team is Wantman Group Inc./Ajax Paving Industries of Florida, LLC.
US 41 from Valley Stream Drive to Saint Andrews Boulevard: Maintenance permit project: Crews are extending the eastbound left turn lane. Motorists should expect lane closures during the nighttime/overnight hours from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Drivers should use caution traveling in this area.
SR 951 at McIlvane Bay Bridge: Construction project: Crews are performing maintenance on the bridge overMcIlvane Bay. Motorists should expect shoulder closures while crews work near the roadway. Estimated project completion is summer 2015. The contractor is Viktor Construction Corp.
SR 951 at Fiddlers Creek Parkway: Maintenance permit project: Crews are improving the traffic signal. Motorists should expect lane closures on SR 951 and eastbound Fiddlers Creek Parkway during the nighttime/overnight hours from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. weekdays. Drivers should use caution traveling in this area.
SR 82 at SR 29: Construction project: Crews will be resurfacing the roadway and constructing a new median separator at the intersection. Motorists should expect intermittent lane closures during nighttime/overnight hours Monday through Friday. Drivers should use caution traveling in this area. Estimated completion is summer 2015. SR 84 from Glen Eagle Boulevard to Santa Barbara Boulevard: Maintenance permit project: Motorists should expect intermittent westbound and eastbound lane closures during nighttime/overnight hours from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. for crews to construct a turn lane. Drivers should use caution while driving in this area.
